Got a Great Tip for Other Technicians...Submit it for Publication in Tech Talk!

Submitted by Amy Ingraham, Tech Talk Advisory Committee

Technicians! Do you have a tip, a comment, or a thought that belongs in print? Tech Talk offers mentoring if you have never written for publication. We want to make it easier for you to share your knowledge with others in our field. In addition, you get a very nice perk of 4 CEUs per published item applicable towards your Registry credits.  Call, write, or e-mail John Farrar (john.farrar@aalas.org) for additional information.

Don't put this one off until later!  Haven't you waited long enough?  For More Info go to: Tech Talk Guidelines

IACUC-Advanced- Las Vegas, NV

Start Date: Wednesday, October 8, 2008
End Date: Wednesday, October 8, 2008
IACUC-Advanced was developed by the Scientists Center for Animal Welfare (SCAW) to train members of Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees (IACUCs) and others who work with research animals. The program format lets small groups discuss specific, advanced topics that are relevant to IACUC functions. Each workshop is structured in similar, design, with slight changes made to meet local needs . Attendance at this workshop is limited to experienced IACUC members and administrators, principal investigators, attending veterinarians, regulatory personnel and laboratory animal care staff. This will help fulfill the responsibility of USDA/APHIS/AC Policy 15 that states that IACUC members should be trained in understanding the Animal Welfare Act, protocol review and facility inspections.
